Greenfield Downtown Revitalization Grant
Revival Architects served as the Architect of Record for the City of Greenfield's Downtown Revitalization Grant, providing the architectural leadership and technical documentation necessary to support the transformation of the city's historic downtown. Working alongside city officials, property owners, and grant administrators, our team evaluated fourteen commercial buildings, documented existing conditions, developed building-specific rehabilitation strategies, prepared detailed cost estimates, and assembled the comprehensive Preliminary Architectural Report required for grant funding.
Our responsibilities included conducting building assessments, creating existing floor plans and site documentation, developing prioritized scopes of work, evaluating project alternatives, preparing construction budgets, verifying ADA considerations, and producing architectural exhibits for every participating property. We also established phased improvement recommendations that balanced historic preservation, life-safety improvements, long-term durability, and the financial requirements of the CDBG Downtown Revitalization Program.
Beyond grant preparation, Revival Architects was selected to provide post-award architectural design and construction inspection services, positioning our team to guide the project from initial planning through implementation. This effort demonstrates our ability to manage complex, multi-property revitalization projects that combine historic preservation, economic development, public funding, and architectural expertise to strengthen rural communities.
